A Time to Remember: A Retreat for Women Whose Mothers Have Died

Whether our mother died this year or forty years ago, we grieve. Some of us grieve what we had and some of us grieve what never was in our relationship with our mother. Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Group - Co-sponsored by Allina Health and Children’s Minnesota
The Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group helps parents whose baby has died through ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death (shortly following birth or during an NICU stay). The group is made up of parents and is led by staff members from both Allina Health and Children’s Minnesota.  For information, please call or email Bereavement Services at  [email protected] or 612-813-7216.  

Companions in Grief ​

This four-week series provides information and support for those on the journey of grief. Participants may join the series any time during the four weeks and attend as often as they are able. The location alternates between St. Mary of the Lake and St. Pius X, both in White Bear Lake.
There is no need to register and no fee.

Red Pine Grief Support  

A peer-led, nature-based grief support group for adults.  If you have lost a loved one, or are losing a loved one, connect in nature with other grievers as we walk the path together.  Groups are facilitated by certified grief educator and include an opening meditation or poem, topic discussions, group sharing, and a light hike lasting approximately 30-45 minutes.
Confidential one-on-one emotional support is also available.

She Climbs Mountains/Girls Rise Up - Support for Motherless Daughters

​This non-profit organization serves adult women and girls who have experienced mother loss at any age.  Workshops, informal gatherings and formal events encourage women and girls to explore the myriad of emotions and experiences that accompany the loss of a mother.  Participants are encouraged to grieve openly, share their stories, ask questions, nurture themselves and each other, examine the loss of their mothers and to seek joy and gratitude in a secure, supportive environment.
